V2 Model December 8, 2021 CHANGE

UPDATE

The market has rebounded over the past several sessions. Enough so, that we have moved to a bullish cross with positive short-term momentum. As such, we will make a change during tomorrow's session. We will add TQQQ and UPRO.

NOTES

The stock market closed higher for the third straight day on Wednesday, albeit at a more modest pace. The S&P 500 gained 0.3% and came up short of a closing record high, while the Nasdaq Composite (+0.6%) and Russell 2000 (+0.8%) outperformed in percentage terms.

The past several sessions have been volatile. Our recent drop in V2 and subsequent recovery was the fastest in 3 years. No doubt this was based on improved Omicron evaluations.

On the positive side, the VIX closed at 19.90. Below 20 is normally a bullish signal.

We could see some softness in the market the next couple of days, but then hopefully we get a boost into strong Christmas seasonality.

Time will tell if this recent cross develops into a longer-term uptrend.

PLAN

Our plan for going forward? Market trends may change and they may change rapidly. We will stay nimble and be vigilant to changes in either direction. We will follow the math.
